Virtual patient (VP) modules on selected geriatric medicine topic of Delirium
Educational objectives:
Delirium: At the end of this case, learners will be able to: 1. Recognize and diagnose delirium based on the criteria set forth in the Confusion Assessment Method. 2. Enumerate appropriate history, physical exam, laboratory, and imaging studies in the workup of delirium. recognize that the key step in treatment for delirium is the identification and treatment of the underlying causes. 3. Understand that some delirium is preventable.
