This video will instruct medical students and post graduate trainees on how to perform a thorough neurological examination when assessing an older adult with falls. It stresses examination technique as well as tools used in the assessment as a demonstration using a simulated patient encounter in a clinical setting. The objectives of this neurologic exam in assessing falls are:
1. Develop an understanding of the terminology and tools used to assess neurologic function in older adults.
2. Recognize symptoms which suggest neurologic dysfunction in relation to falls in older adults.
