Update From 2016 Reynolds Foundation Grantee Annual MeetingPOGOe lives on! Following the October Reynolds meeting we received a number of questions regarding POGOe and web-GEMs. So we want to make clear the future of both. POGOe site Starting in mid-2017, the POGOe website will be hosted and maintained by the AGS and materials will continue to be available for free for the foreseeable future. Changes on POGOe are currently in the works to improve navigation and enhance the user experience, but you will still be able to enjoy access to the POGOe educational material that you know and love. We will be eliminating the registration and log-in process for users, therefore also eliminating the restricted access portions of the site. Several learner assessment materials will be moved to the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs (ADGAP) Assessment Toolbox on GeriatricsCareOnline.org and will be available only to ADGAP members. For more information please reach out to Elisha Medina-Gallagher Web-GEMs Web- GEMs geriatrics teaching modules will continue to be hosted and available for access through POGOe until July, 2017. Starting in July 2017, the web-GEMS modules will be moved to Med-U. If your institution created web-GEMs assignments before September, 2016, you will be “grandfathered” into web-GEMs on Med-U and your institution will have free access to web-GEMs through June, 2018 (MedU has already notified users who are ‘grandfathered’ about the process). If your institution was not grandfathered in, Med-U will begin to charge a fee to use web-GEMs commencing in July, 2017. Information on pricing is available through MedU. In the meanwhile, if you have any questions about this transition please reach out to Elvy Ickowicz. Plenary slides, meeting agenda, virtual goodybag from the 2016 Reynolds Meeting can be accessed here. |
