Older Americans Month

Did you know that Older Americans Month,an annual event dating back to 1963, was instituted by President John F. Kennedy to celebrate the contributions of older adults to the nation?

The 2016 theme is “Blaze a Trail”, which acknowledges perennial contributions of older adults and celebrates how older adults take charge of their health, get engaged in their communities, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
